Rapid Rabbit Robot

To challenge our skills, we had to create a robotic show that includes motion, lights, and audio. We chose the White Rabbit, which is often muttering "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!"
As far as my focus, I designed and laser engraved/cut the platform and housing for the electronics. Part of this includes a clock on the top, button/light labels, and speaker, button, and LED cutouts. For design simplicity, structural rigidity, and serviceability, I made all the panels puzzle together. For the clock lights, I designed and soldered a custom PCB with RBD LEDs. To allow for many modes and user feedback, I designed the front panel with lots of LEDs and switches. I also created the audio files and worked on the python source code that runs on the Raspberry Pi. A summary and demo can be seen in the video below.
